After completing a Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering from UNSW (Hons) and a Bachelor of Laws from USYD, Peter entered the legal sector working within a mid-tier law firm and later with legal counsel in Sydney. After 3 years in the legal sector, Peter shifted gears and moved across to Defence to gain broader experience in project management, engineering, policy, contracts and procurement.

Peter commenced his working relationship with Defence in 2011 and moved across from the Australian Public Service to Defence consulting in 2014. Peter’s broad experience in Defence covers multiple projects including; guided munitions, helicopter surveillance technology, naval safety equipment, Diesel engines, Gas Turbine Engines, weapon systems, procurement and contracting and policy advisory services. Peter is currently leading the phase out of the Dock Operation and Reticulated Services Contract (DORSC) at HMAS Kuttabul Sydney and assisting with day-to-day commercial business within the System Program Office (SPO). Previous to this role, Peter was a lead commercial advisor for 4.5 years across multiple Navy acquisition and sustainment projects including the establishment of the DMSS Maritime Assurance Program (DMAP).

Peter has mentored graduates, colleagues and other consultants within the Defence space due to his broad experience. He implements a practical approach to problems and encourages engagement and collaboration across the teams he works with. Peter takes a similar approach with Defence industry to drive the collective outcomes.
